Charles Hoskinson has questioned the Cardano Foundation’s leadership and dedication to Cardano’s principles after criticizing the Foundation’s handling of Cardano’s budgeting, constitution, and rules.
Hoskinson later went on to question the Foundation’s origins stating that the Cardano Foundation was an “anomaly” within the ADA ecosystem. Hoskinson went on to say that the Foundation had not been founded properly and failed to attend to the needs of the wider community.
On December 15, Hoskinson went on to say that until leadership within the Foundation is altered and the community is in control, he would not consider the Foundation a part of ADA.

They are going to vote against the budget and the community approved constitution. Until there are leadership changes that result in community control of their organization, I don’t consider it part of Cardano anymore.

Hoskinson says he would like to offer a grant for Cardano developers to help with travel, building projects, and enabling greater communication within the community when it comes to ecosystem developments.

According to Hoskinson, the Foundation has voted against the wills of the greater community and the constitution. Despite this, some members of the Foundation have said that the organization has no desire to block any proposals from the community.
