Algorand(ALGO)-linked web3 wallet Exodus has been listed on the NYSE stock exchange. Exodus CEO JP Richardson rang the NYSE bells as the EXOD stock gained a new listing.

On Algorand, the Exodus common stock has been tokenized and is available to trade, paving the way for public companies to tokenize stocks on the blockchain to capture wider liquidity sources.

Meanwhile, Algorand’s NodeKit is now live, making node setups and node running for ALGO investors easier than ever.

Algorand-linked Exodus wallet gains NYSE listing

Exodus crypto wallet is a Bitcoin and DeFi web3 wallet that allows users to make token swaps across multiple networks, earn staking rewards, and purchase crypto using local currencies.

Representing one share of its common stock, Exodus has been publicly tradable on Algroand since 2021. Exodus chose the ALGO blockchain to natively host its tokenized stock due to the network’s security and speed.

Back in May, the SEC blocked Exodus’s NYSE listing. With Gary Gensler outed, Exodus’s NYSE listing came suddenly to many investors with crypto’s regulator landscape in the U.S. changing rapidly.

The Exodus wallet is the only cryptocurrency wallet to have its own public stock which can be traded on the NYSE.

With EXOD also easily accessible in Algorand, many investors believe there to be a new financial opportunity on the network.

From James Gernetzke, Cheif Financial Officer at Exodus:

“The NYSE bell-ringing is a major milestone for Exodus and the crypto community. It marks the beginning of a new chapter where crypto and traditional markets come together to create a more open, transparent, and lasting financial system.”

NodeKit launches for ALGO node runners

On January 10, the Algorand Foundation announced the launch of NodeKit ahead of the ALGO network’s staking rewards system.

Dubbed a one-stop-shop for Algorand node running, NodeKit helps users with installing and setting up Algorand nodes and monitoring nodes on the network.

With quick setup times, NodeKit will allow ALGO investors to set up nodes quickly and start earning rewards once Algorand 4.0 is rolled out.

According to documentation, node runners will first need to stake a minimum of 30k Algorand to start earning rewards.
